I am an English teacher and I have been teaching English as a Second Language to adults for more than 18 years. I see that learning English is not difficult if people know how to learn it in a proper way, especially, learning English Speaking.
In my experience, most people learn English Speaking in not right ways, they learn vocabulary and grammar first, then they come to practice their speaking skill. Well, this is very hard for ESL learners to improve their speaking skill, if they learn all the words and grammar in advance. They will not dare to make mistakes with what they have learnt so they are hardly to open their mouth to speak the language.
In my teaching, I force my students to speak as much as they can during my class time. I tell them try to say anything they can in English in class, in their life, at work. Speak whenever they have chances. With ways, all my students improve their English speaking quickly and remember most what they learn in class with me.
